Better place to level up?
Where is the most efficient place to leveling up?

Somewhere in the middle of Act I you get a 'story line' quest which takes you south, into the desert (on the map, story quests are the 'open book' icons, which don't necessarily indicate specific quests but rather a series of locations you must visit to advance the story line). In any event, you'll find the enemies more difficult here but you'll level up quicker -- I got frustrated after a while and headed back north again and found myself powering through the quests and enemies with relative ease.

Of course, you'll level up consistently anywhere you go since you're constantly surrounded by a 'cage' of spawning opponents but defeating higher level foes will gain you more XP, and so far (just began Act II) I've found them to be in the south. Needless to say, if you just started the game you'll want to steer clear of this area for now -- just complete the numerous quests as you get them and the game will steer you in that general direction anyway.

But i saw in one video a place with a lot of monster. Do you know where it is?

There's a lot of monsters *everywhere* you go because they constantly respawn. If they're too easy for you where you are and you've completed all the quests, move to the next area. As far as the video, maybe it was a cave or dungeon, they're sprinkled throughout the entire map.

You've probably noticed by now that this isn't exactly one of the deeper games ever developed, it's practically the definition of hack and slash (with spammed spellcasting). I'm just continuing out of curiosity at this point, and because the game actually just rewarded me with a cutscene and a big 'ACT II' banner, haha. Seems there's an actual story buried in here so I'm going to finish it to get the ending, but otherwise this game is extremely repetitive and it's a bit of a chore sometimes to get through.

The monsters, my friend, are everywhere and there will be no end of them until you finish the game -- and if you're not satisfied with the monsters in your area pack up your spellbook and move to where the monsters are more to your taste. But be sure to check your map and wrap up all the quests in your area, especially the open book icon quests if you ever want to see the final cutscene.

Well, I guess that does not matter now. I closed the game, and as it has no multiplayer I think it is no longer necessary to play.

And the places to level are the multiplayer bugs, now I've discovered it.

The game is very good, but that of having to export the character and the end without a final cutscene (you kill the boss and the game keeps rolling) let me think a bit.

(If there is any error in English I'm sorry, I'm translating the google translator)

Didn't know that there is no final cutscene, that's disappointing -- I wonder how many Acts before the final boss? I also have Sacred 2, which I hope is more fleshed out and less tedious -- it's tempting to keep at it just to have a character to export, although I don't have any particular attachment to my character. I'm also playing Spellforce 1 with its expansions right now and it's an excellent game if you like the quest driven fantasy genre.

[Got your invite Octoprise, but I'm an Old who just buys and plays the games for the single player campaigns. Cheers and happy gaming.]

I Like this genres, perhaps if have any sale in the future I will buy this spellforce 1.
The next i will buy is the Divine Divinity, did you think it is a good game?

I only played it for a short time because I found it a little clunky like the original Baldur's Gate, also I entered an area not properly leveled up and kept getting my ass handed to me by the local monsters. I sometimes think about reinstalling the game and trying again, I would probably pay more attention to the story next time for better immersion.
Apart from the story, however, and as far as simple player enjoyment goes, most of those old school fantasy rpg's (Divine Divinity is twelve years old) have been surpassed by more user-friendly and much better looking games. In fact, if you're ever in a position to shell out 30 bucks or so, the new Divinity game is getting great reviews and would be right up your alley. Spellforce with both expansions you can get any time for ten dollars, maybe three to five dollars on sale.

i think killing orcs is the easiest way to gain xp but i could be wrong anyway as you advance through the chapters you will encounter more diffcult enemies and i have not realy played this game in years

Killing dark elves, if I remember correctly, was the best for speed-levelling. But that was a few years ago.

In the early game, I think that area north of Silver Creek with all the goblin shamans is considered the best power leveling spot. Strong enemies everywhere you turn, that give both decent experience and decent loot. In the middle of the game, there's apparently an Orc Cave in the desert that is really good for power leveling. There's apparently a few other caves that are good for power leveling too, but I tend to avoid caves because I'm running a Hell Sphere build and nothing messes it up like caves. And yeah, in the late game dark elves give pretty fantastic experience and equipment, definently my favorite place to level up because I hate caves. Know that once you hit act 3 your choices on where to level up diminish greatly, because undead invade most of the core region and undead are horrible for leveling.

That said, I haven't needed to power level much. Just doing all the quests and fighting most of the enemies I see has given me enough, Enemies level up as you do so there's not much point to rushing, the only point where I had to actually stop to level was at the Monastary of the Seraphim, and that just meant I hit a few towns I skipped.

I have fun trying not to kill as few monsters as possible and level up only by doing quests. It's pretty fun and you don't end up so overpowered so quickly. YMMV(Your Mileage May Vary).

i played this game a LOT when it launched, i remember farming some place with dark riders, i was like 2nd to 3rd highest on the hardcore server at that time.
I was playing vamp so during the day i went in some cellar dungeon nearby.

but that was without expansions

In the days I played this game in MP, the most favorite area's for players were both desert area's where the undead roam (Khorad Nur and Urkuk deserts), the marshes (north of Mystdale castle), the Goblin Lawn (north of Silvercreek); while later when Underworld was released, the Dwarven Ruins, Purgatori and the Pirate Islands.
Main reason for this was that in these area's most monsters were vunerable to fire and / or having a cave where the spawn was giving good XP. And since each cave respawned its monsters after leaving and entering it..............
