Sacred Gold

Sacred Gold

Will this game ever be fixed for PCs in 2025?
I bought the game but could never play it; once, it even broke my entire PC, which I had to restart manually

1)
Go to the installation folder (probably something like "C:\programs(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\sacred gold".
2)
Open the file config.exe
3)
Toggle "32 bit color depth"

steam should really patch sacred 1 and 2, GoG has done it so more ppl will buy it from GoG then from steam if they leave it like this

its issue with all older games, even dragon age origins has issue on win10 cause no steam fix

Sometimes you need to try checking different boxes, or combinations of boxes. You can also try changing the Windows Compatibility setting for the .exe file to different versions of Windows.

sure but it would be better if they patch the game for modern sys

one reason reason i went legit many years back, cause games from free sources gave player a lot of work to get it running, when i buy and install the game i expect it to run without issues and if it has issues i expect it to be patched

I'm sad to tell you that most of the time is not true for old games, especially if you get them from Steam and is why you constantly find people recommend GoG as they tend to not only have some older games you can't get from Steam but they also patch them most of the time.
hey this game is old and runs only in 8-16 bit mode and there it works really fine :)
