Never played Prototype (my brother did), though I've seen it uses the engine which Darksiders uses.
You know if there were some international laws which companies will abide to, we wouldn't have these problems today, old games not updated, new games being trash etc.
However, it would also be nice if the Steam workshop was available for this game. Modders do amazing things for us.
Like I said, for some, it doesn't. The game has not been updated by the previous studio and publisher since 2006. If you're selling the game, then I just need to download and play it, not installing modifications to run it.
The game doesn't run "fine" without modifications, do you understand what I'm saying? Even with modifications people still encounter problems, one of the most notable problems the game has is crashing with a black screen and your save getting corrupted. Massive FPS drops in certain areas, bugged quests that never got fixed.
And yes I have the right to say that the game shouldn't be sold in its current state. The graphics of the game still hold up today, so there's no need touching it, maybe higher res models. Adding quest markers, updating UI scaling and resolution. All of this needs to be done.
If you don't bother updating the game, at least release the source code for it.
Graphics still hold up, I am amazed, though the models have shown its age.
