Worth 2020
How is this game? Worth playing 2020? I never played this or Diablo but obviously played Poe, Grim Dawn etc. Is it just too old or is there fun and challenge to be had? I don't like dialogue, even skipping excessive amounts of dialogue will break my immersion.

this game is amazing. you should surely check this out. i don't know wheather this would be fun to you, but to me it is and there is a lot of challenge to be had (the challenge is optional). there's not THAT much dialogue, but it still exists
The game can be pretty hard if you start with new character on silver instead of gold, which is what I like to do.

Sacred still holds up in stat management, there are a lot of funky builds you can do. My only problem is the ground texture, it hurts my eyes a little.

The side quests can be pretty boring, they are mostly fetch quests with text walls and you need to read to enjoy them.

I would recommend playing Ancaria campaign first, in my humble opinion Underworld is garbage.

The game stretches beyond a certain resolution for which it was developed , you can look up one of the steam guides if you want to play with black borders.

I'd answer on that: its dialogues are so short and unnecessary-to-read for just beating the game, that before 2018 there probably weren't even cites aiming on getting info from those dialogues as much as it was possible (no, not just walkthrough guides, more about lore and setting).

There are challenge and fun in that game, but they largely depend on your playstyle. I can't predict if you would have them at all, and if so, how much. I advice you just to try it first.

Sacred is still playable. Just 2 things that you need:

- "Sacred Reborn" mod. (increases resolution somewhat, fixes bugs and balances the game)

- Enable 32 colors in config.exe on Windows 10 (otherwise the game won't load)
