At that time diablo II was to low res to enjoy for me.
After that I only played titan quest and wolcen recently.
Now I'm looking forward to the diablo II remaster.
Would love to see a high res remaster or maybe a carefully remade Sacred I.
Didn't like the second one.
THQ Nordic bought the rights 2020. Maybe there is a remaster in development right now.
"Sacred 3" doesn't exist. It's totally different game with name Sacred slapped on it.
edit: ReBorn used to add fake hd, but the most recent version finally adds true HD:

I forced antialiasing x2 in my radeon software control panel for the sacredreborn.exe
Character models look way better this way. I'm sure it's possible for nvidia as well.

I don't recommend more than x2 anti-aliasing because it will cause graphics artifacts.
I still would like to see the remaster of course! It could add better graphics, sure, but if they only added widescreen support that would be fine for me as well.
In remaster I would like to see some online play seasons and online-only characters so there is no way to cheat and you can compete with other players on official servers, something like PoE/Diablo III. Of course it would be optional.
Then I would do something with the endgame. I feel like hitting max level takes too long. I'd delete one game difficulty and set some normal max. level like 100 (or 150) and not 216.
Then I wish there would be some more/different endgame content. These are loose ideas of course.
Lets be patient then, sadly this isn't one of my strengths.
Ascaron went belly up in 2008 and sold the IP to Deep Silver, a division of Plaion / Koch Media, a subsidiary of Embracer Group. In May of 2020, Deep Silver traded the Sacred (and Risen and a few other) IP to THQ Nordic (another subsidiary of Embracer Group). From what I can find, THQ initiated the trade and asked for specific IP.
Here's the really exciting part. THQ has already released several full remakes of old games. Gothic and Comanche are two examples showcased on their homepage.
The rest is purely speculation: THQ has shown that they are interested in remaking old games for modern gamers and they specifically traded for the Sacred IP 2 years ago. So I THINK (hope) that THQ is planning to remake Sacred and we might see announcements from them on that front in a couple years.
