Another option is to do some of the side-quests in the fortress, then venture north-west for a bit and do some quests there, before returning to the fortress and talk to that warrior again.
Won't spoil more for you, but when you are able to do the 2nd part of his quest, you'll see him again in Braverock castle. Giving you a nice quest with a tough end-choice there.
Thorin :)
(Can't try your second option as I've already completed all other quests in these parts.)
Me and Jacquaire are fighting a Sakkara priest that we don't seem to able to damage. We haven't moved his life bar one pixel after several minutues of fighting! His life bar indicates that he has major magic resist and minor poison resist. I am normally dishing out good bits of all four types of damage but not here, as he blocks absolutely everything. Not even my bats can hit (not that they last very long against the barrage of AoE damage...).
Do I need to something special to make progress here?
EDIT: I got him!
I did three things differently. Not sure which one was important (but I have a savegame I can experiment with):
* I exited the portal and got back again.
* While I was out, I picked up and equipped 'The Finished Prototype of the Sword'
* I blew the priest a Blood Kiss. It took effect - I saw the graphic. It's the first thing apart from some Claw Jump stunning I've seen had any effect on him.
Then he went down in one hit...
