How big is the game (main quest)
I've been playing for about 10 hours and only uncovered a minuscule part of the map, like 1/50th. Is it really that big?

you don't need to go everywhere for the main quest and a part of the map is the underworld campaign. it still is huge though

That's a great deal of the appeal of the game for me. The map is huge, and it's open world. I enjoy doing ALL of the quests.

It took about 45 hours to explore most of the Ancaria campagn map doing nearly all the quests.

So about 60 if you want to explore just everything (but by fact you won't be able to - on every new playthrough you will notice more and more details) in Ancaria + about 45 hours for Underworld.

I've played for longer, but I have completed it legimately not a single time, most of these hours came from something like just wandering through the world aimlessly or without an intention to actually beat this game.

The total world's available area was estimated by me as something close to 16 square km, by the way. And Sacred 2's was counted by someone else as 57 square km, even though I'm unaware of how it was done.

You're looking at between 25 to 60 hours.

yes, it is, but there is a lot of wasted opportinities for ruins or secret/ hidden quests, i think because theres nothing to find. You can find Jason Vorhees hideout or a grave dedicated to a dev, for example. But the most is open space to farm/ grind, imho

I did enjoy the fact that you could just visit empty ruins and try to imagine what happened there. There was a bit of "abandoned buildings" vibe.
For example in the snow area

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a quest mod that adds extra content.

Unfrotunately, there isn't such. Impossible right now due to the lack of the access to the source code.

Damn. I knew it was big, but that's a bit bigger than I imagined.

About 12 square km in total. But feels especially large due to the game's prospective.

Anybody w/ a Demon or Seraphim tried jumping into the black-colored regions on that map? Can you explore there at all?

You can't explore just everything, but really a lot of breviously inaccessible area like the whole Dryad Forest or a lot of the seas.

Sacred NL mod allows a slightly better option - you can jump on every place of the map that has a tile, including the middle of the forest totally inaccessible before, even by Daemon.
