How to play Sacred Gold in Widescreen and High Definition.
1. Instal Mod Sacred ReBorn. Google it.
2. Follow mod instructions and set exactly this resolution:
Added possibility to change the resolution of the game. To do this, in the folder
with the game in the settings file “Settings.cfg” (you can open it with a standard
notepad) add the following lines (bold text):
- SR_CUSTOM_RES : 1 (value 1 turns on custom resolution, value 0 turns
it off)
- SR_HEIGHT : 768 (game resolution height value)
- SR_WIDTH : 1366 (game resolution width value)
3. Instal dgVoodoo2. Google it i wont give detailed instructions how this work.
-Download and unpack dgVoodoo2_63_2.
-Copy dgVoodooCpl.exe and everything from folder MS sub folder x86 to game directory.
-Open dgVoodooCpl.exe
-click ".\"
-in DirectX tab set resolution x2
4. You have now Sacred Gold in High Definition and almost without graphical glitches.

Whoever did this is a God! i'm just downloading the game and going to try this. But i don't want any mod that changes the game is that possible doing this without a mod?

This mod is only way to play 16:9 you can play in original 4:3 in high resolution but you will have black bars on sides.
I tried the mod, you don't have to deal with voodoo or something, you just set the resolution by editing settings.cfg however, any resolution above 1366x1080 causes flicker on the objects. The devs are aware of it so i'm gonna wait until they fix the problem. Hopefully, they're gonna share this widescreen mod seperately because i prefer playing vanilla version.

And dgvoodo dont causes flicker on the objects. Thats the point so you dont need to wait. Just set resolution 1366x768 and upscale it with dgvoodoo and doing this that way you will not upscale UI.

But the problem is with dgvoodo, it just expands the 2d image in the bakground however in reborn hd mod everything stays same, it shows the remain parts of the image according to the resolution you set. However, as i said anything above 1366x768/1366x1080 causes flicker with this mod.

I don't know have you tried the mod or not, but the difference is huge.
I downloaded the mod from vk. com/overlookers
"For resolutions with a width of more than 1366, the camera zoom was been proportionally changed for
to not give an advantage in distance of view and not to reduce the performance of the game.
IMPORTANT: For now, due to the regulation of the camera's zoom, some textures (for example, bushes
textures) begin to flicker. We already have assumptions for solving this problem, but it is be time-
consuming, so we decide do not postpone the release of the updated HD because of it. If flickering
textures prevent you from playing, then use a resolution 1366x768 or less in full screen mode."

This is written in the latest changelist of the mod

You completely don't understand me. Instal Sacred Reborn set resolution to 1366x768. Then upscale it with dgvoodoo. This way you don't have flickering textures and Ui stay original size. Its all in my screenshots.

Thanks mate, it works like a charm now!

Wish it was working with the vanilla version too.

Nice! Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you, the game looks beautiful, peak arpg right here!

Note to anyone who may have problems: I thought it was a smart guy and just copied the whole dgvoodo.zip into the games folder.

You only need the .exe and the .dll files from the MS/x86 folder. Without the x86 dgvoodoo wont work!

Sacred reborn works fine. After I set up dgvoodo on its folder and set up as said in this thread, the game just remains blackscreen and closes.

So now I am basically just running sacred reborn on 1080p with the smaller UI.
@Juran
Installed Sacred Reborn 4.3.2 but, beside the dgVoodoo upscale trick, the game is always in 4:3, even if I select 1920x1080.
Maybe Italian 2.28 version by FX Interactive is incompatible

I am getting white squares where the text should be in the menus after installing dgVoodoo2_75_1: https://ibb.co/kQVpB4M
Older versions (such as dgVoodoo2_63_2 suggested by the OP) cause only outlines of text and other visual elements to become white: https://ibb.co/r2Wfvvy
Please advise.
