Ending
Well that ending was rather abrupt. Story kept talking it up so much but like Souldiers's ending its more interested in setting up its stinger end.

Seriously got to the end just to say wtf did I just die to the dumbest shot that shouldn't have affected me?

Yeah I wasn't a fan of the ending at all...

The two things this game does wrong is the ending and the fact that you can 100% it in 8 hours or less.

The aftercredit scene pretty much states "condition unknown" tho...

(Spoilers, but like come on if you clicked on a thread titled "Ending", you wanted to be spoiled) Just finished it...now I see why people were griping about the ending. There was alot of build up but...yeah, that was abrupt. I mean I wanted to see what happened when the gate opened. Throughout the whole story we're told of the Abyss and how amazing and awful and horrifying and sexy it is only for the story to just end right there. Erf.

And I also *greatly* disliked being sucker-shot after such a climactic battle. Like if Aletheia needed to be K.O.'d at the end for the story, have it so that after defeating the boss, both he and she are heavily injured and she faints or something, iunno. That shot felt like everything she just did was a waste of time. Dude puts on the most fabled armor in history, gets defeated, but "wins" anyway with what was basically "pocket sand!". I'm getting more annoyed the more I think about it.

Anyways griping aside, it seems it's setting up for a sequel. Way too many questions unanswered and the after credits scene makes even more questions. But with how long this game took to be made....guess we'll see the continuation in half a decade or so, if ever. Sigh.

The whole ending screams of a planned sequel, expansion dlc, or something of that nature.

I get that there is clearly a sequel planned, but they could have at least come up with something a bit more satisfying.

I wasn't expecting actually seeing what happens after the gate opens, but considering everything the main character and we as a player have to go through to get to that point, being robbed of any agency and have someone else do the crucial "choice" felt so anticlimactic.

Rest of the game is great, hopefully they do end up making that sequel cause if not, boy what a way to wrap it up and leave things on a slightly disappointing note.
a ♥♥♥♥♥ ending
This ending REALLY annoyed me. I was ready to talk this game up big time but the finale was disappointing.

Also I was expecting to get legendary armor for the final battle but that didn't happen.
that was easily the worst ending i have ever seen in a game, ever. i thought i got the generic bad ending or something

the game is pretty fun mostly, but that ending needs to be revamped. it's literally worse than the lavos game over ending in chrono trigger >.>
