Please make cutscenes skippable
Please make all cutscenes and dialogue skippable, especially the super long intro.

I wanted to try this demo real quick but it took forever just to get to the interactive part having to sit through a bunch of backstory I don't care about. No disrespect to your story - it's probably good! - I just do not care at all about lore when I haven't even had a chance to play the actual game yet. Save stuff like that for later (and not all at once) once players are invested in your world and want to know more about it.

As it is I got so tired of pressing A or ENTER on all the intro text with no way to skip to the end that by the time actual gameplay started I had gone from "maybe interested" to "I think I'm going to skip this".

yes. I wouldn't even consider playing it again without this.

Hey there!

I can confirm that skippable cutscenes will be available during the full release of the game.

Glad to hear it. Might give it another play then. I enjoy cinematics but I want to watch them on my own terms and sometimes for whatever reason you want to skip because either you've already seen them or like in this case you just want to briefly try the game, so having that option really makes a difference. Thanks for making the change!

YES! God there is way too much text. Make it ALL skippable. I'm sorry, but if your writers think 5 minutes of text at the start of the game is a good idea, I don't have faith in your story.

I'm still here for the gameplay. Don't make me waste to get to it.

Hello everyone!

Firstly I would like to apologise as unfortunately the information I previously provided on skippable cutscenes is incorrect.

The only cutscenes that will be skippable are the introductory cutscenes.

That's unfortunate. What if you die and have to repeat a section which includes dialogue you've already seen? That should absolutely be skippable. Either that, or make sure your save points always happen after cutscenes and dialogues so you never have to repeat them. If I have to sit through the same unskippable cutscene 10+ times because a section happens to be difficult and I keep dying that's a dealbreaker.

... Cool, the game is in development since 1939, how stupid of us to expect such a tricky to implement feature.
this is actually a reason not to buy atm. skippability is a must.

The Cutscenes in the release is still not skippable?

Wow. The amount of unskippable cutscenes made me put the demo down. I just wanna kill stuff and do platforming.

Agreed.

The game has been around apparently for a long time but, it is available on steam today. I don't understand.

The intoductory cutscenes are skippable! however all subsequent cutscenes are currently not.

Please make all the babbling insta-skippable, I couldn't care less for a story in a metroidvania game. Make it like Hollow Knight where each NPC has 3 lines at most and the MC doesn't speak at all, so that I can get back to the action ASAP.

Hard pass otherwise.

Implementing skippable cutscenes is not something we currently have planned for future updates for the game.

However there is a fast forward dialogue mechanic that becomes available to players once the game has been completed. This will allow you to press a certain button to fast forward through the dialogue!
