1. Probably for this 'race the same race' happens when you do some challenge farming, and there's no level system. Also you can play various game modes with game rules you can tweak as you want.
2. You can replay the race mid-game here or trying with another character/vehicle if you want.
3. You can check either your gameplay statistic or challenge progress here.
4. There's no track rotation here, and also following the first reason.
5. I never had Nvidia Shield TV, so dunno.
Everything that was listed on top refers to the free-to-play mobile version of BBR2, not to the Steam "Island Adventure" Version. This paid version on Steam allows you to race freely and customize every rule. The mobile version only allows you to choose between two randomly-generated races at a time, and overall that mobile version of the game works way differently from this PC version.
