BAD STUTTERING AND INPUT LAG. ANY SOLUTIONS??
I bought the game about 6 months ago on a deep discount. I almost refunded because of the stuttering and lag, especially in the menus. But then an update seems to improve the problem (but not totally fix it) and I saw they were putting out small patches every few weeks so I decided not to refund. I gave the game a break for a while and when I picked it back up, it seems the problem is back just as bad as before.

I have an i7 13700k CPU, 3080Ti GPU, 5600mhz 32GB DDR5 RAM and my SSD in the M2 slot. I can run Elden Ring at max setting with Vsink and DLSS on with no problems. Same with Lords of the Fallen, God of War, and other recent AAA games.

The stuttering begins almost at the first loading screen. It lets up when I start the game a little but then it comes back during play and makes the game almost unplayable. Sometimes if I isolate the "presentmon" application from running in task manager, it seems to improve a little.

Also, I noticed that if I turn off V-sync, the unstable frame rate gets better, jumps up to about 200fps but still drops 20 to 50 frames randomly. Of course while at 200fps a drop of 30 or 40 frames does not matter much, but that is still the same amount it drops when V-sync is on at 60fps. So it drops down to single digits at times and interrupts input. But with V-sync off I get bad screen tearing. I hate it. Rather play with the lag.

I thought taking it out of full screen mode would help, and it helps a little during game play, but not much.

Any ideas to fix this? Are the Devs working on any permanent solution?

Nividia does not recognize the game in my library. Maybe this game company is owned by a competitor of Nividia and so they want it to be buggy on Nividia hardware? Is that possible? Is that legal?

I am actually afraid to buy any other games from this developer and publisher. Like the new Warhammer 40K. I see very little info addressing this problem from the devs. I have little confidence so I certainly will not purchase anything with less than at least a 50% discount.

They put out a fix for it. Please read thru the news of the game and patches for the info on what to do. Should fix it. Your also comparing AAA titles to a nok AAA game. Big difference.

I read through a bunch of discussions. I see nothing. The game is not fixed so what ever fix they put out, its not a patch. So please, tell me, what is the fix?

No good. Already tried it. Does not apply to my problem.

You probably already went through the thread where I posted this, but check my reply here.
To summarise, for me it was a problem when using a wireless gamepad, at first. After re-installing my USB BT receiver it went away and I played the rest of the game without any further issues.
If you have an overlay keeping an eye on performance, how does the CPU usage look when it lags the worst? Mine shot up above 90% and I think that's what was causing the game to lag, but I suspect that was prompted by some bad interaction between it and the gamepad.

Have you tried to cap the Framerate to 60 FPS?
Because Camera Movement and Animations are capped at this Rate.
If you are above 60 FPS the Game duplicated frames and exhibit judder even if you using VRR.

Yes. I have. I have tried every setting option possible. I even tried the config file fix though it did not apply to my problem. I have tried fullscreen, borderless windowed, 59hz refresh, 60hz refresh, 60fps cap, every cap. I runs best with no cap but I get awful screen tearing. I have fiddled with my Nividia settings too.

I appreciate your help. I am not using wireless. I thought the overlay might be the problem but disabling it did not help. I have noticed there is a "Presentmon" app running in TaskManager and the behavior of it seems to coincide with the worst of the lag and stuttering. It goes between two states. One state, there are two copies of it running, and they keep closing and opening in rapid succession, then the other state, there is only one open and it stays open for a minute or two and utilizes about 7% of my CPU. There is also a Nvidia Container that keeps opening and closing.

"Presentmon"
I`ve got this too! But it is Part of my AMD Drivers. When the Game is Running.
Its C:\Program Files\AMD\CNext\CNext -> presentMon -x64.exe
But I dont think its part of the Problem.
This seems to be just a command to the graphics card (no matter which one) so that the game works. For me it causes 0.02% to 7% CPU usage.
This can't be a Problem.

"There is also a Nvidia Container that keeps opening and closing."
Is there a Name to it?

I actually played the game on an rx 6600, Ryzen 7600 with 16 GB RAM and I had no problems at all.
Since my computer is weaker than yours, it can only be some software that is messing things up.

Try to close all Background Software that runs on your PC (not Steam) even Software for RGB Lightning and something.
IF this solves the problem, turn each program back on one at a time until the error occurs again.
The last program you reactivated triggers the error, so leave that off.

I have set the parameter "fixed_stepper_frame_rate": 240, in the settings. everything became much smoother. the game works well.

Seems i had luck. Installed the game a week ago with the standard parameters the game suggested. No lag, no stuttering or graphic problems but it may be because my NVidia app automaticly optimizes games. If you are using the Nvidia app maybe this helps.

I use the Nvidia app and it does not recognize this game.

This is actually true. The game is not on their supported list. So IDK what the OP is talking about.

For me vsync off, cap at 60 and medium settings. Everything above despite high fps caused stuttering. RTX 4060 and i5 1240

Was trying almost everything and it's unplayable for me... Fix installed, i5-12600k+3070, settings on low, 60fps, fullscreen, drivers up to date and it drop like crazy to 20fps when just moving camera... gpu usage is less than 50%, cpu the same, ech... It's funny because thats the only one game with this kind of bs >_>
