Now whenever I start the game, I can't load up the latest save - crashes at the loading screen and closes completely. Earlier saves work but just not where I'm currently up to. I'll wait for an update and hopefully there's a patch soon. (I have a higher-end PC and exceed the Recommended Specs.)
Hey! Tester from Focus here.
First of all, really sorry for the inconvenience.
Could you send us your saves folder, so that we can try to reproduce your crash?
You should find it here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YOUR_USER_ID\1230530\remote
You can just zip the whole folder & send it (see the end of my message, about the contact form).
There may also have been dump files generated when you crashed. If they exist, you should find them here C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Atlas Fallen\dumps
You can also send them to us.
Also, the logs of a session in which you encountered the crash may be useful to us. You should find them here C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Atlas Fallen\logs
A DxDiag file to know your exact computer specs may also help us. Since you've been able to play the title up to this point it seems unlikely that your crash is hardware or drivers related, but we take all the infos we can!
To generate the file: type "DxDiag" in the Windows search bar > launch the DxDiag app > Pick the "save all infos" option and it will generate a text file with all your specs.
You can send a message to the support via this contact form https://support.focus-entmt.com/hc/en-us/requests/new , and add the aforementioned files to it.
If the files are too big, you can use a file sharing site like wetransfer to upload your files, and put the link in the email.
Hello!
Sorry that you're experiencing this issue, and thank you for the report.
Have you tried both the Vulkan & DX12 modes?
Could you please write down a quick summary of your PC specs?
Also, as I wrote to !Dee above, if you wish to, you can send a message to the support at https://support.focus-entmt.com/hc/en-us/requests/new, and add files to it, so that we get a better understanding of what your issue is.
In your case, files that would probably help us are:
- DxDiag file (explanation in my previous message).
- Screenshot of the error message displayed on screen during the crash, if there is one.
- Video of the crash happening.
- Logs taken right after triggering the crash (C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Atlas Fallen\logs).
- Crash dump taken after crashing (C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Atlas Fallen\dumps).
I'm having this problem as well, I'm on Proton 8.0-3 with Nvidia 4090 (535.86.05).
Looks like a common issue with Windows as well, nothing Linux specific.
Planning to refund the game - perhaps buy again after it's fixed.
Thanks
