What version to buy?

There is Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand Edition discounted with 50% (more expensive) and a bundle discounted with 75% now (cheaper and includes DLC).

What version should I buy to get the maximum value per coin?

Go with the more bang for your buck. I got the Reign of Sand Edition. The DLC I wasn't worried about. But if you like what it is, Then get it. It's really a choice of preference.

No I mean is there any difference between the core game, like the game with Sand Edition is improved maybe while bundle offers some old version before the big patch and thus costs cheaper?

get the humble bundle for december choice. its included in it among other games.
then redeem the base game, then get the dlc via Ruin Rising Bundle BUNDLE
