Hello!
By default, the PC gamepass build will launch in Vulkan mode.
If you want to try out DirectX12 mode to check potential performance differences, you can find the .exe files here: C:\XboxGames\Atlas Fallen- Reign of Sand - Windows\Content\bin
I have the game on game pass also and noticed why i think allot of people are having refresh rate issues. When i use application controlled Vsync in Nvidia Control Panel, when i enable it in game it locks my FPS to 124 even though it should use my monitors 165hz to set it to 165fps. It seems no matter what we set the refresh rate setting in game to is doesn't go past 120. Vsync is supposed to lock the fps to My monitors refresh, but for some reason, it doesn't go past 120 when i enable Vsync in NVCP or in game. I tried setting the refresh rate as application controlled instead of Highest available. I even tried turning off Full Screen Optimizations in Vulkan and Dx12, but it still is stuck at 120hz/fps. It might explain why some people notice it, and others do not. People like me with monitor with higher than 120 will feel something is off. But others with 120 or 60 do not.
Hey. Thank you for the additional informations and reports.
The game doesn't use Frame Gen, but some framerate issues can be present when playing at high refresh rates. This is a known issue on our side, we're looking into it.
I've heard that animations are capped at 60 FPS, this would explain my issue more accurately. Is that true?
