How do I play with my friend who is on Gamepass? with me on the PC?

It can only generate a public IP, but we've tried it here and it doesn't work. We're lost.

That does sound a tad wierd.
In my game i can go to coop, when entering the menu ( where ye can select gauntlet, armor, map, etc ), and i get :

• Via Platform invite
  
• Via Generated Code
  
• Via Ip Address

But I want to know if Steam works with Xbox. Can you tell me? Because I couldn't.

Sadly i can't say for certain.
From what i could find, it seems that it doesn't support cross platform multiplayer.

Came here to ask this. My wife owns the game on steam and I have the pc games pass and saw the game drop onto it and want to play with her. If we can't, I kinda don't want to bother with it tbh.

If you are both using the same local network / router, then you should be able to join by using the "via IP" method from the co-op menu.
The Guest will just need to enter the ipv4 adress of the Host's machine (192.168.xx.xx format).

You answer him and not me who asked the question? My friend lives in another city, not in the same house. Is there no way to play multiplayer? He is on PC GamePass and I am on Steam.

Hi, my brother has GamePass, he has no option to use the generated code to join only ip, we were able to make it work after many tries via Hamachi, with the game launched in DX12 (ports might be blocked on Vulkan), using the ip displayed in Hamachi.

Does this mean the via IP option is only for local networks?

I'm also wondering about this before I pick it up (got here from Google). Wanna co-op with a gamepass buddy overseas.
