Order of the doors?

I've jsut started the game and appeared in some sort of hub location with the doors. I've went through a random one since I was lost and it appears that I'm in the Pig's castle. I don't know what I'm doing here and why I'm here. I feel like I've skipped a good chunk of the game. Will I be able to return to the hub world and do other doors? Should I've gone to other doors first?

Nvm, I've returned to the hub somehow. But still can't get rid of the feeling that I'm missing something.

i just beat it for the first time. i'm pretty sure this game is designed to play through multiple times. i would suggest not worrying to much about specifics on the first run
