[SPOILER] Red replace Pink ending ?

Hello,

Congratulation for the game it's really fun and I enjoyed finishing it.
I'm planing to do the New Game+ since apparently there is new ellement in the playthrough (I have to select New Game and select the save file marked as " ???? " right ? )
But since it will already take me another full playthrough to do this, I would like to ask a question regarding a "possible alternate ending" and was wondering if I can get answer.

(Obviously this next section contain big spoiler)
At the end of the normal game, we learn that Red never actually existed and was dead in the pit of Golden Pig this whole time and it was in fact Pink that took his place (that he kinda convinced himself he was Red)
Which link this to the dialogue Red an Pink have when Red dies in the Pit (and after you finished the level after this)

But.
If you fight your way through the pit and survive all the phase, you get a new "cinematic" that doesn't involve Pink (unless I didn't understand it correctly).
And then (still as Red) you can walk your way out of the Pit and continue the game as normal (at least it seems so, I don't know much more, I didn' tried)

So assuming you survive the Pit and Red technically didn't die...
... would the ending be different ?

I'm willing to try it out and see for myself (so actually if it IS different, please don't spoil me what it is), but if nothing change I must admit I would be kind of pissed off to have done all this for nothing -_-
(again, I already need to complete the Nex Game+ mode haha)

So if any player or Devs could confirm me there is or isn't any change apart for the "cinematic" you get, that would be great ~♥

there's no change in the ending

you don't get to meet up with a certain entity but outside of the extra scene there's no change

there are new surprises in NG+ though including a number of alternate endings that may involve the hardest fights the game has to offer
