I just spent 4 hours to flawless this, and when I did I didn't get the achievement.

It has to be a difficulty setting higher than Story Mode, and "Retry from checkpoint" won't allow you to obtain it. Did you play on Easy or higher, and did you select "Retry" rather than "Retry from checkpoint"?

you can't retry from checkpoint? that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. that would be it then, I wonder why it works for the other ones and not that one

The last update changed it so that retry from checkpoint no longer works.

wow. thats a huge change. retry from checkpoint made these doable without days of time spent memorizing these. it took me so long just from the last checkpoint.

i mean it makes sense tho in order to retry from a checkpoint you would have to be hit first.

What I think sucks in particular about this is that by not being able to restart from checkpoint, you are forced to arbitrarily sit through an unnecessarily long cutscene for each attempt. If there is one thing I have gathered from this game, it is that the devs don't really value the player's (or specifically achievement hunters') time.
