What are "Aura" and "Shield"??

Would really like to know what they do?
Tomke has "Spinach Power"and i am wondering about those skills

If somebody else is wondering

Shield = 15% physical damage reduction

Aura = 15% magic damage reduction

It becomes clear once you get Amalia as she has individual skills for both that list the values in the description.
