Endgame armor farming
Hello,

I just finished upgrading all my weapons and figured I should upgrade my armor too, since some enemies do outrageous amounts of damage. When I calculated it all out though, I need a massive amount of emperor hides, which aren't _horrible_, a ton of ancient carcass which will be worse, and something like 36 Divine Wool which only drops UNCOMMONLY from Hana Dolls, which are an enormous pain to farm.

Is there some realistic way to farm this insane amount of materials?

I had some trouble with that as well, especially the Divine Wool. Technically it's possible to get all the materials you need without farming. A few tips:
  1. Only upgrade equipment of characters that you actually use in battle (if you don't already do that).
  2. The late game merchants, the merchants in the black market of New Wyrnshire and the merchant in the Adventure Guild of Tormund also sell these rare materials. It will cost some money but getting money is easier than farming these materials.
  3. Finish the Reward Board, claim rewards and make sure you find all treasures. Especially the treasure chests in the late game areas (Grottos, Sewers, etc.) often contain these rare materials.

I found a pretty efficient way to clear the
Hana Dolls and the Vampires you have to fight to get to them if you're intent on getting enough Divine Wools to upgrade everything (make sure to check some chests first though since they drop quite a bit of upgrade materials). The main team members are Lenne, Mikah, and Victor/Egyl/Amalia. Focus on increasing Lenne's magical DMG and AGI (use Bandit on her if Lenne is too slow).

Use Double Step on Mikah and Third Eye on Lenne. Then when Victor/Egyl/Amalia get their turn, use their active for inflicting Dry/Wet on the entire enemy party. When it's Lenne's turn again, just use Water Jump (if Dry) or Wind Jump (If Wet) and if you have enough damage, that should KO the entire enemy party. If not, Mikah and your fourth teammate should be able to finish them off.

Make sure to have Sienna and Robb in your party with their drop passives equipped (I've seen Robb's trigger even when he was in the backrow) to speed up the process a bit.

where to get tier 10 upgrade mats

you can buy at 3 merchant in Tormund Adventurer Guild, Ograne Grotto rat merchant, Desert merchant (above fire tablet). Cost 49500 (with discount recruit) to buy all 15 of every mats. And another 3 merchant in Black Market (New Wynshire). Cost 19800 to buy all 6 mats.

rainbow ore = golem knight (raminas lower), goblin knight (ograne before completing goblin quest)
ancient carcass = auto knight (raminas lower)
north grotto teleport to raminas lower. fight only spawn in entrance no 7 and 5. the other 2 spawn not worth it.

divine wool = hana doll (south east ograne)
only 2 hana doll spawn, 1 above and 1 in center. you can skip bottom fight by using stair in middle.

emperor hide = otter nobunaga (west beach from arkant teleport)
you can and should steal this

bloodstone = steal only from croapier (east part of narsene sewer)
I believe you get enough from merchant and chest.

Robb = have water attack, increase drop skill and wear earth belt. use charge then barrage. (with +2 ultimate bow and 2 maxed atk up robb should do enough aoe damage to 1 shot vampire without any atk buff. if you dont have +2 bow then put warrior emblem instead of bandit)
Egyl or Victor = aoe dry
Barthaz = aoe heavy. important to have silver lining so you can just defend at single hana doll spawn, let it suicide.
Sienna = have rare drop boost. first 3 character is enough, she can defend to save time.
I don't think that beating the Hana Dolls is the problem here. They're actually pretty easy to kill before they can deal any damage. The annoying part is that there is no teleport crystal nearby, so you first have to get there, kill a bunch of vampires and then even with drop boosts the chance of them dropping even one Divine Wool is pretty small. So before you have 20 you probably already died of boredom.

You're much better off with just buying the materials from merchants or finding them in treasure chests.

You shouldn't need to do any farming if you make use of all the merchants and chests. The 'post-game' areas, or rather the side content you unlock from doing most of Nhysa, will have chests full of end game materials. Otherwise, there's 5 locations you can visit to also buy materials.

1. The black market in New Wyrnshire. This will have the most end game mats.
2. The guild. People often forget, but the guild has a shop and it sells end game materials.
3. The weird thing in north grotto behind the door locked from the wrong side.
4. The merchant in the oasis past the underground dark desert caves.
5. The ghost merchant in a random house in Nhysa, located in the northwest lower city.

You can also do the Ultimate Material Pack deal by hunting 3 unique monsters: the sandworm in southeast Perpetua, the dragon in southwest mountains, and the senior tadeye in west grotto.

I farmed some materials before I figured some of this out, but I'm pretty sure you should have enough materials to get everyone's final weapons and armors upgraded with all these. It's truly a ridiculous amount of materials.

And for a tip on hana dolls, you can save before you kill the first one and reload if it doesn't drop it, and you can kill the other two in the massive battle first, run away if they don't drop one, and repeat until they do. You don't get to keep drops if you run away, though, so make sure to finish the fight if you do get one. Robb can also make double drops.

I've just gone and bought out all of those merchants, and you don't quite get enough to max all 12 endgame armours. In particular, between the chests/treasures available, edit: the ultimate material pack Deal, and those five merchants, you end up being able to max out three Maximillian (Heavy), three Triplet (Clothes), three Ringmail (Light), but only two of the Grimoire Robes (possibly not maxing out two of them in fact - I may have had some extra wool from random drops from the dolls).

This is after maxing out all of the Rusted Weapons too, but I don't recall if any of them used Divine Wool.

Good to know. Is that with the Ultimate Material Pack?
