Any tips/strategy against the 8th true king? (SPOILERS)
I enjoyed this game but upon reaching (what I'm assuming is) the final boss of the game I'm sorta disappointed about how unbalanced the boss fight was

mostly because of the fact that the boss had very high stats, being able to heal itself, and being able to act THREE TIMES per turn, all of this (in my opinion) made the boss fight not fun and felt like there was no strategy to this boss fight tbh, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to get a specific item or something but as of right now I don't like this boss fight

also just in case someone asks, I was playing on normal difficulty since I wanted the game to be challenging enough that it wasn't too easy nor too difficult

(and also sorry if my grammar is bad)

Update: I have defeated the final boss now

Now now, it's not unfair; you get 4 turns after all! He still needs 1 more turn to be balanced. I assume you mean the Sky Armor fight. There's quite a few things you can do.

You can max out proficiencies on all your sky armors for the permanent stat boosts. This is easy to do in the Rohlan fields, specifically at the southwest map crystal there's 5 pigears you can farm over and over, resetting their spawn by just warping to the crystal again.

Tactics wise, you can lower his damage and defense. Lower MND also means smaller heals. Can also stock up on items. If you haven't gotten the 600 series of mechs and items, you could go grab the Golden Voucher and go buy them. Likewise, you can raise your own defense with offensive drones.

Besides his 1 instant kill attack, which you just have to either blind him or swallow it and take it, reviving the dead guy afterwards, he warns you for his big attack. Just defend against it, preferably in gear 0 but any gear works for it, really. Maybe Inact works too; I never tried it.

Have multiple healers. Like for example, I use a 2 support drone setup. Plus one of them has a sword and shield for single target healing. Try to damage him as much as possible when he's in offensive mode to get him to ho into defense mode to avoid the instant kill attack.

thanks for the advice, I'll try doing what you said
also, sky armors can get proficiencies too? I assumed only character skills and weapons for sky armors could get proficiencies, and also I thought MND was only for magic defense.

That's what I meant about proficienc for sky armors, the weapons. MND is magic defense and the stat that determines healing. So lowering someone's magic defense means lowering how much they heal.

Kinda Spoiler :^): You find a key for a elevator in Nhysa then you can revisit the Tower. On the 2nd floor was a elevator. You can use this key to get access to the "basement" you will get lvl 5 or 6 Sky armor Equipment and even a ticket (and more stuff in general). You can use this ticket in hooge. There you can buy LvL 6 Skyarmor Stuff. You can easly kill this boss with 4 Greatswords just charge and spam the first skill :^) its broken af.

I have just finished the game, and found the boss fight too simple and unsatisfying.
Maybe my approach can give you some inspiration. I put a spoiler tag on it out of consideration for others who want to come up with their own tactics.

Sky Armour Battle

Greatsword, Bowgun <--- Seraph from side quest for 50k Arc
Sword & Shield, Support Drones
Greatsword, Elemental Cannon
Glaive, Attack Drones

Normal Battle

Lenne - Glenne , buff/debuffer with Lenne using Light Coat (Rune Knight) and Glenn with All Break

Sienna - Robb, Sienna max crit dmg dealer with Gambler emblem and crit up maximised, team crit buff, Robb as debuffer with paralyze and silence (toxic and poison too)

Mikah - Egyll, I have used only Mikah, though, for tiger combo -> full bloom, but mainly for the ultimate - the ultimate combined with poison hit, toxic hit, light coat and HP drain alongside the full bloom stuff is my main damage output

Baktraz - Amalia, mainly Amalia in full healer mode with Cres maxed out for shielding passives

The normal battle is much easier with Glenn having overdrive control thanks to restrain, and the light coating which makes every attack a weakness of the final battle

Tactic is straightforward: glass cannon Mikah and Sienna supported with debuff, buff and healing, Crit chance 50% and maximised attack values

Mikahs Agi is so high, that she and Sienna usually attack twice before the boss...
