Also curious about Chel running away rather than being defeated. I think the shadow died first when I did the fight, and as soon as it died Chel ran away and the fight was over. Not sure if it was coincidence and Chel just happened to reach minimum HP at the same time or what...
Could be a bug.
I went into the fight unprepared, wasn't expecting anything down there like a boss fight, and was a bit disoriented.
I remember chasing after Chel, in the direction they fled, thinking maybe they'd lead me somewhere. But never found anything other than the exit to the Tablet.
There's one left of where the boss was, in the center of the room, that's usually the one missed in that room.
For a better look at her art, I actually did make a somewhat recent illustration of her.

Going by how 2 tablets were community bosses it'd make sense if the other ones were, too, so I wouldn't be surprised if BB and Assassin Girl were as well. The only thing that gets me is the kraken, since it's just a reskinned, much higher statted version of an earlier story boss. Unless someone wanted to make their 'boss' into a cursed totem that turns people into goblins.
Thank you for letting me know, didnt know this was a thing.
