Motion Sickness?
Does this game make anyone else motion sick? I really want to like this game but if I play it for more than about 15 minutes I start getting motion sick. It is something to do with how the screen moves and keeps moving a little after your character stops moving. Has anyone else experienced this and have solutions for how to keep this from happening? I have tried it on both steam deck and on my living room large TV (both through steam).

Yeah this is the first game that gave me some sort of motion sickness. It's weird. Haven't found anything that I can do other than to play this for like 30 mins max. I don't think the problem is the camera but that the character moves too fast? idk Everything just looks blurry and hard to look at when I'm moving.

I don't think the game vsyncs. The image never seems totally stable in motion.

Yeah I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what is causing it and none of the in-game options seem to make much of a difference. It is something to do with the background moving independently from the player-character as best I can tell.

I'm on ps5, but it also makes me feel ill while playing, which I normally get from games with unstable frame rates :(

ya, the odd background movement while moving really throws off and I don't even have motion sickness.

Bruh, what?
Seriously, just watch a damn stream, etc and test it that way

The image is slightly unstable. I have no idea how the dev managed to mess that up. And the "camera" moves after the player does which seems to bother some people. On an SNES RPG the tiled background generally scrolls at the same speed as the character's movement. But here it's like the dev was going for a chase camera where the environment scrolling lags behind the player movement and catches up instead of moving in sync.

But it's not enough to make it hard to play for me though. If you like 90s JRPGs you should not miss this. It is a good game. It could just use some tweaks.

Can't say I've had any issues with motion sickness myself and I've got over 60h in the game with several multi-hour-long sessions.

Can't you force the drivers to vsync the game?

I play on PS5 and didn't noticed such stuff.
But I know that not all people have this issue in general. And probably I'm hardened by SCART games back in the day

Motion sickness happens to me on every open area that i've been on so far (12 hours in). The cities are fine to me.

you need to force vsync

I am in the intro section for the female thief character and so far every single area of the game has made me motion sick after a couple of minutes play time. I am susceptible to motion sickness to begin with (for example I cannot read while in a moving car) but 99% of video games do not give me any issues.
