Buried treasures are always highlighted by marked circles on the ground, the ones with the three arrows: the treasure is along one of the three directions the arrows are pointing to. Keep in mind that there are most of the time two circles pointing at a single treasure.
So when you go in the direction of said circle arrows (and it's correct) you just go in a straight line and keep mashing the confirm/A button?
That can work. There's usually a second circle nearby. You look at the arrows on the two circles and try to go where they meet up.
Is there any kind of indicator you've made it to where the treatures is buried?
You get the item.
What you have to do is find out which arrow on each different circle is pointing in their same direction as the other one (like two invisible lines meeting at the same point) and then figure out where the meeting point of those arrows are.
I find it helps to be in the general area you think it is and then mash the confirm button (A on xbox, X on PlayStation etc.) until you see some item names pop up over your character's head - that means you got that buried treasure.
1. Find the two circles (each buried treasure has two circles)
2. Look at the arrows on each circle and find which arrow they intersect.
3. When at or near intersection point, mash confirm...
Yeah I think most things are addressed in the tutorials but it would be better if there were a way to view that information conveniently in the menus again
