Request for developer comment: Animal Lover achievement bugged

Three people (including myself) on this forum have reported the Animal Lover achievement is bugged. It's either voided by one or more of:

* Kiling brume animals
* Getting attacked by normal animals
* Taking damage from normal animals
* Shooting in the air to scare off normal animals

We've gotten past it by doing an easy run where we only kill two brume animals (one in the Underground Laboratory wing B and one in wing C) to progress the story. It's frustrating, however, to do a survivor difficulty run where you don't attack any iive animals and then the achievement doesn't pop.

Could we at least get an acknowledgement that this is being looked into? I posted both the thread https://steamcommunity.com/app/1229020/discussions/0/3945776779138040068/ and reported this using the online bug reporting system, and I've received no response.

No mention of it in the last patch notes. I've popped it now on PS4 and PS5 but it would be nice if it could be fixed whenever I get around to playing it on Steam in a few months and not have to do 2 playthroughs to get the achievements.

Just happened for me as well and I don’t want to have to do another playthrough. I never killed an animal besides the brume ones.
