I've found three items and they are waiting in a shed nearby I am not getting any change in her dialogue and the map shows no more quest items. Do I need something else or to visit someone else?

Okay, so three were marked on my map. There are no more indications where to look. I believe this is the next step right? to get supplies for climbing go across covered bridge[\spoiler]

If you found all six dogs, then you can use the dogsled and cross the bridge

No, I have only three and don't know where to look for the other three. I've wandered all over, even to another landing dock... I'm cold now, : (

The thing is Charlotte says we're good to go, just watch out for the trees. Then of course because I'm short three dogs, I don't get E to press to trigger the event

Ok that part is strange, we'll look into it... try to get all 6 dogs, see if it works.

That's bloody confusing that her conversation changes after you've only found 3 of them. You need to find 6.

That messed me up too, her stance should not have changed.

P.S. Yes I know that 3 wouldn't be enough for supplies and a grown man, however, I thought the quest was complete after 3 of them (e.g. to reduce tedium).

Yes, that's correct, there will be no more hints on the map (until you get close enough). If you found 3, the other 3 will be in the area where you found the third one. You probably discovered some footsteps leading to a tent with a fire if you found the third one. Cover all that area of the map, use your waypoint in strategic places (it'll help navigating the blizzard) to make sure you cover all ground.

I figured since I hadn't finished exploring that little loop on the map that I'd find more there. I did, and as soon as I did, I was close enough for the other two to appear as symbols on the map.

I think the only thing glitched about this is the girl's premature conversation change. The game is just miserable about finding items, there's poor direction.

If you say they are out there then I'll go and look more carefully. I'll have some more split pea soup up at the house and start out again.

The fact that you get the dialogue options: "I spoke to Francoise i'm ready to go..." before getting all six dogs is a bug that seems to be happening by reloading a savefile at some point during the loop. I understand the confusion and we will fix the issue.
