- Level is actually very linear. Just touch the stones one by one in the order you get them. It's no big deal, you don't have to backtrack anywhere far. Always look around for a gate that's newly opened. You have to run through the first fire gate quickly before it closes.
- You need to have the potions from the previous chapters. You won't find any in Hell. They're all good! Not only red ones, but use green ones for stamina (it also has a big effect on your performance in combat), yellow ones for strength and possibly others.
- You can find walkthrough videos online to help you get your bearings. I'm still adding the map here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3007525695
All of the previous levels are filled with usual low (sevants), mid tier (dedicated servant) type of enemies for example, and then at the last one we get numerous enemies to fight, that are both high on their health and strenght, also, they don't get tired like us, or they do?
UPTADE: I completed the game. And I also think I owe you a apology due my angry rant yesterday. You made a cool game, the art, music, story are 10/10, the controls and balancing of difficulty (Chapter XIII for example) are a few flaws, but I got used to how play there and for that I was able to have quite a bit of fun. Clearing Lothar Castle was very cool btw.
One of the points that also got on my nerves was fight with Lothar, the AI doesn't know much well how to retreat, doesn't expose their flank, etc.
So is kinda easy for the npc getting cornered and we having to hurry save their ass, instead of paying attention to our own ass.
Lothar got wrecked a lot in that last level by a Demon and two Hell Knights, while I was busy dealing with flying skulls and devils.
And I understand the limitations of being a indie dev, and i didn't experience crashes or stuff like that, so is a good game, and will not be getting a negative review from me anymore, thats for sure.
But I probably will not be replaying the game either, It's too frustating at some parts and I preffer spending the little time I have to play something having fun than being constant frustated.
Thanks for your attention, and good work for you!
The epilogue scene hints that. Going to do a positive review, since aside getting the game, thats the ways I can help you, I'm also letting it displayed on my profile with other games of medieval themes.
Count with my help if you make more games.
Didn't know about the discord, going to join for sure! Eager to know more about the project, good luck for you with that work.
