How to use furnace

Hello-
I'm brand new to the game; no idea what to do, so I'm just trying to use the various machines for now. I'm at the furnace, I've put some fuel in it and turned it on, and it says "drop two ore below."

I have two ore in my hand, but I don't see how to "deposit" them. Any hints would be appreciated...

hi ya, look at furnace, push tab for inventory, move mouse cursor over ore and push E, well thats how i drop ore into furnace.

The furnace does 'snap' onto the output end of auto-miner. Im new to game to

Yeah if you attach the furnace to the autominer and a storage box to the output of the furnace you get nice neat stacks of steel to collect.

If you program the furnace you can get it to turn off after producing an ingot and then turn on again around 27 seconds later. By then there is 2 more ore to be refined or will be in a second or two. Saves you heaps of fuel.
