1440p, which you claim is obsolete, has currently the highest adoption / growth rate. 16:9 is still the standard (roughly 80%), and it's unlikely to change anytime soon.
I do have 5120x1440 which is 32:9, or 2x 2560x1440, as a single 49'' monitor.
But, in todays time, the programming should not be fixed on resolution, except for competitive gaming, but I don't see the game there.
Usually such resolution results in strang graphics, meaning that the far sides (left/right) are sort of empty. This is basically never the case in a FPS game.
All these losers here quoting stats need a reality check. 1% could literally mean 1000+ more sells equating to £20,000+. For a small dev, that’s a lot!
On the topic: That's a real shame.
first time i agree with a comment like this. if you move away from the "standard" of something, you should expect that things do not go as smooth as it goes for "the standard". i am assuming you just heard there is a thing called ultrawide, bought an overpriced monitor and now crying because "aMaGaWd UltRaWiDE iZ Not SuPpOrTeD". nobody cares if you buy the game or not and no offense but if you are buying a game solely because it supports ultrawide you are in a tough journey.
grow the ♥♥♥♥ up, learn your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ manners and either ask for it politely or comment on it politely. nobody here is your parent, noone has to put up with your ♥♥♥♥.
and one more thing, 3440x1440 is considered 21:9 noone in whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wide world calls it a 43:18, either call it 3440x1440 or simply a 21:9, or just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ultrawide
Thank you, please make this happen!
I WILL BUY ANY GAME when it is released based on if I enjoy the game, not based upon it's ability to fill every pixel of my chosen monitor.

Stick to standards.
Same kind of dumbass who complains that games arent working on his 12000$ computer because it uses tech not even .1% of people have yet.
Weird that my 1000$ potatoe runs everything no problem.
Don't spread misleading statements like this about your game, it gives a really bad impression. "It is still possible" really means "You are playing in 16:9 on a 21:9 monitor". Its not the same. Ultrawide support is incredibly easy to do and there is no excuse for it to be excluded. I'd rather play a game with 21:9 support, but with the UI stuck to 16:9, than not play 21:9 at all.
Will not buy a game that does not support UW. What a shame, it was a cool concept.
Smol brain right there.
