NBA 2k21 is AWFUL

Steam will show that i have played this game for 2 plus hours however i have not played a single full game. this is by far the worst experience i have ever had with any game in my life. NBA 2k21 lags like crazy, just in quick game mode, not online nothing. i have done everything i can possibly think of to make this game work. it is impossible. i have spent more time online researching how to fix this game than I have playing it. Congrats 2k you got me, but you wont get me again.

Steam doesn't care if played the game or not, it only cares if the Exe is running, what you do in the meantime its you business and steam can't know.

Please tell us the settings you're running NBA2K21 at...

This game MUST be played at 60Hz and with V-Sync ON. If either of those options are adjusted to any other settings, you will get slow motion animation and stuttering.

This is because Take-Two Interactive did not develop this game one bit for PC. It is a blanket console port and you must run this with the traditional console settings.

Please update if you need addition help. I'll try my best to assist you, as you won't get much help otherwise.

+! but you need to further force v-sync on because they turn it off in the park games. You also want to turn on triple buffering. Do this in Nvidia control panel then you should be good.

can you tell me your specs cause i have pretty solid pc and in park it drops frames a lot

just wrong.. i don't neither of them and it runs perfectly fine. Sure it can help to fix issues buts its NOT mandatory.

So thanks for all the help guys. Every game i play looks great runs great, But i have a toaster for a laptop when it comes to NBA 2k21. yes the vertical sync is on and 60 HZ didnt change a thing. ON or OFF. Obviously Im just upset because I don't think it should be this hard to play a game. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz Core: i7 7th Gen

Ok so I fixed by right clicking on my desktop and selecting NVIDIA Control panel. Clicked on manage 3D settings and set it on highest available. Game runs a lot better and looks great.

you can uncap the game and make it run at 144 and 120, its in video settings

Not running at 60 actually tends to be the cause of problems for some.
