All online options shut down when the servers do. Try entering the game while disconnected from the internet to get an idea.

This is not unique to NBA 2K, all online games that have in-game purchases are in this situation. The shutdown date has been in the manual since day 1 and previous games are there as an example, you still chose to spend money on the limited-time mode.

how about they put it on the Store page or in the itself and not in some manual which you can't even see unless you google it..
Hell they could put the Manual even on Steam and it will be linked in your Library.

Or perhaps, you could actually Read and Understand the terms of service that you clicked that you Read , Understood and Agreed to when you made your 2k account which is required to do before one can make any purchases online in game.

Edit:
Note that the steam store page does indeed state:
Requires agreement to a 3rd-party EULA

thats lie.. look at GTA, MTG from Microprose, Assassin Creed games and almost all games where u can play offline and make ingame purchases

why u spread lies?

i think 2k "forgot" pack manual to their EG version..
can u link it? it will be nice

anyway.. do they decline my acces to my things what i pay for and in fact steal my money, or not? i think its simple question and u can write simple answer and not this insane mumbling..

will they decline acces to my things and steal my money in fact, or will be still possible play MyTeam offline challenges and so?

im suspicious because lack of support nor compensation for missing VC, lack of commznication on official homepage - on forum.. and tons of ppl who cant reach solutions for their issue - as we can see here, or on official forum, reddit and so..

Zeokage "answer" make me even more suspicious.. because this:

like if is excuse when thief sell something and then decline you acces to it and just tell u "im not alone, there is more thieves"
its the same like when murderer kill someone and then Zeokage excuse him by "ye, he kill ppl, but there is more murderers, he isnt first"
it make no sense.. its not excuse..

That's why I said to try playing the game offline now to see what is possible. MyTeam is an online mode at its core, so you can check for yourself what happens with no server connection. Otherwise, send in a ticket to 2K Support.

That's not the situation I'm talking about. I mean the situation where you can make in-game purchases but the servers may and probably will shut down at some time in the future.

1) it was simple question and i dont care about some tesing - if u want me to test this game, u must pay me.. because its my job to analyse and test software.. i dont do my job for free
im talking about OFFLINE challenges.. stop your trolling, pls

2) u lie again.. thats the same, even GTA servers will shutdown in future

3) i dont care about doing your job and searching whole forum, i ask u for link, because 2k somehow "forgot" to pack manual to their EG release

look, your trolling make me rly suspicious about it..
i just want make sure if i will keep what i pay for.. because 2k company philosophy with lootboxes and microtransaction and lack of support.. make me suspicious about it..

just answer

will they decline acces to my things and steal my money in fact, or will be still possible play MyTeam offline challenges and so?

I've told you how you can find out for yourself, but if you don't want to disconnect your internet for a few minutes to make sure. You'll have to send in a ticket to 2K Support to ask. They're going to know more than I do as they're actual employees.

That's my point... The purchases you make for the online game will also be "lost".

You don't have to search, it's at the top of the forum.

2k is different because the servers shutdown after two years every time most other games don't do that. gta v is going on 10 years old now and i'm sure it won't shut it down anytime soon.

They should just keep the games the same for a couple years and update the rosters before they put out a new version really but people will buy a nearly exact copy of the last one so they won't change
Zeokage Jun 6, 2021 @ 4:22pm
The length of time is irrelevant in this situation. The question is what happens to your in-game purchases when the servers eventually do shut down.

I agree it would be ideal if servers could be left to run permanently, but we're not in an ideal world. It's why I personally don't make in-app/game purchases for online modes, that's my choice, however.

Or perhaps, you could actually Read and Understand the terms of service that you clicked that you Read , Understood and Agreed to when you made your 2k account which is required to do before one can make any purchases online in game.

what have the TOS to do with that?
https://accounts.2k.com/en-US/legal/terms

also I just said that 2k should make the Shutdown Date visisble on the Store/ingame, but you obviously ignored my whole point to come with your crap "read the tos" which doesn't state anything in regards to whatever you were trying to say.

No one here is responsible or obligated to teach you how to comprehend what you have failed to read and understand, after you clicked you Agreed, Understood and Accepted.

I will not argue or resort to childish name calling, all I can say is this, everything you asked about, is covered within the TOS and/or a link within the TOS.

Edit:
one can clearly see Kitt quoted and asked me a question and got a reply

Your comments are aimed at the wrong person. While the resulting insults were unnecessary, Kitt was asking a valid question about the accessibility of the shutdown date information I mentioned.
