Yes i've made a ticket and provided them with msinfo32 & dxdiag. I haven't had the best history with dealing with the support staff. I'm hoping things have improved over the yeas.
creative thought - i just attempted to launch the game without a controller and got the same experience. Also set the default audio device for the game and still have the same issue.
They had me do the following. It didn't resolve my issue but may help someone else.

Could you please try the following:
**Flushing Steam/Run Steam as Administrator**
1. Completely exit the Steam client.
2. Open the 'Run' dialogue box by pressing Windows key + R (you can also navigate here from the start menu by typing 'run').
3. Type steam://flushconfig then press enter. If asked to allow this website to open a program, please click 'Allow' or OK.
4. Restart your computer.
5. After restarting, launch Steam directly from the installation folder (not from a pre-existing shortcut). It typically appears as 'C:\Program files (x86)\Steam'.
6. The Steam application will either appear as 'Steam' or 'Steam.exe' depending on your settings.
7. Right click the Steam application and select 'Run as Administrator'.
8. Start (Game) from the Steam library. If you are prompted to install any additional software, please select 'Yes'.
---
If that doesn’t help, please try this as well:
**Creating a New Windows Profile (Windows 10)**
1. Select Start, then select 'Settings'.
2. Select 'Account', then select 'Family & other people'.
3. Select 'Add someone else to this PC'.
4. Enter a user name, password, password hint, and then select Next.
5. To add administrator rights to the new account, under 'Family & other people', select 'Change account type'.
6. Under 'Account type', select 'Administrator' then OK.
7. Restart your PC and sign in with the new administrator account.
8. Run Steam and start the game.
Control Panel > Hardware and Sounds > Manage Audio Devices
Disable any secondary bluetooth headphone (if it says Hands Free audio disable it)
If not then go to the Recording tab and disable the mic from the headphones in there
Hope this helps :-)
I appreciate you giving your input. I gave it a try and didn't have the same luck. I took it a step further and disabled every audio option both recording or not except for the audio out device i'm using. I tested the sound with another game to make sure it worked then tried NBA and still no sound. Thanks again tho.
I did make a ticket and they were not helpful. They wanted me to test the game on a different gaming computer. Since I only have one that i spent way too much money so i gave up. Then one day I went to play skyrim and the audio didn't work. Since so many people had played that game I did a quick search and found a fix online. Ultimately something was wrong with dirx.
