I have a core 2 quad and what are the sse cpu requirements for NBA 2k21?.
I have a Core 2 Quad and I was hoping NBA 2K21 does not need sse 4.2 because my cpu does not have sse 4.2. I think my pc will run the game just ok but I might need some cpu instructions.

Anyone with a Core 2 Quad or anyone that knows the sse cpu requirements please help me.

Any help or info?.

You didn't say which Core 2 Quad you have, but I assume you didn't check the pinned posts as two of them have the answer...that SSE 4.2 and AVX are needed to run the game.

I have the Core 2 Quad q9550.

I was hoping it was like Madden NFL requirements because Madden NFL 19 didn't work with my Core 2 Quad and Madden NFL 20 worked which was good.

well there is nothing you can do to make it work. I mean you can obviously test and if the Game doesn't work refund it.

Without SSE 4.2, the game won't open at all, and without AVX you won't be able to load up a game of basketball. Your processor doesn't have either (which you already know) so you won't be able to use the game without changing the processor.

Thanks everyone, I think I have to upgrade to play the game.

Aye, the Sandy Bridge CPU's like the i3 2100 where the first generation of CPU's to support SSE 4.2 and AVX.

If you do try to upgrade to the minimum. Keep in mind the Sandy Bridge cpu's would have used a different socket and RAM, which means you'd need a new CPU, Motherboard and RAM at a minimum. At that point unless you can find them dirt cheap, I'm not sure I'd recommend upgrading to 8 year old hardware.

The lowest end current generation hardware isn't that expensive and would run circles around either your Core 2 Quad or the i3 2100.
