This feature has been in since 2K15 at least. If you plug in a controller after your game loads it won't work in park games even though it works fine in the menus and everywhere else. Reload your game.

Try disconnecting the headset before opening the game and see if that helps.

That's not disconnecting, the PC/game may still be recognising the receiver. Remove it completely and see if it helps.
