HELP!!! CONTROLLER ISSUE

i have been trying to play this game for an hour and a half, the game recognizes my xbox one controller but will not let me use it at all, not in the menu's or anything. i have xbox controller support checked in steam settings for the controller configuration. i cannot figure out how to use my controller, i have tried multiple different cords, none of them are the issue. its the game, it wont let me do anything.

What else do you have connected to your PC via USB?
Does the same controller/cable combination work in other games?

i just have a headset connected via usb as well as the keyboard, theres no way for me to make either of them wireless.. i just now wirelessly connected my xbox one controller via bluetooth and uninstalled the game. im waiting for it to reinstall now to see if it will work. the controller/ cable combination works for all my other games.

If that doesn't work, try removing the headset before starting the game just to see if that makes a difference.

jordan, open steam in big picture mode, then click play on your game while still in big picture mode. that’s the only way i was able to play. hope that helps you.

you should be able to, yes. just go into big picture mode on steam before launching the game

Wait until you reach the menu
Connect your controller
Done.

I can play career with my controller without any problems but when i play park it just doesnt worj when im playing i need help

shaain kun, if you open steam in big picture mode, you should be able to play park and any other feature of the game with controller with no problem.

nvm i fixed it by turning off xbox controller configuration.
