Game crash at 100% loading in every mode?

As there have been many instances of the same post being made in multiple threads.

If you're not experiencing this exact issue where your game crashes when it hits 100% loading in every mode, please make a new thread.

The solution on fixing the crash issue is lifting your old pentium cpu away and buy a new cpu (not pentium cpu). I have 3 friends and I who have the crash issue, and all of us change our CPU, and the issue all have been solved. My old CPU is pentium xeon E5645, and my new CPU is I3 10100F. It really works! Just don't wait for the solution from 2K.

I wonder if there's a difference here that's the same with other people. A missing instruction set other than SSE 4.2 for example.

AVX instruction is the answer to this problem. Somehow NBA 2K21 now requires it. It is missing on this processors Intel 1st Gen, Intel Pentium (All Gen). For 1st Gen user Solution Upgrade to 2nd Gen or Higher Gen I3,I5,I7 and Motherboard. For existing Pentiums (6th,7th,8th Gen) Upgrade to I3,I5,I7 of your Gen. For AMD A8 and lower upgrade to A10 or Ryzen Processors.

If you have no budget you can use Intel SDE.

It's certainly that, cause my processor supports SSE4.2 but not AVX... I don't get why this is now an issue though, being that they sold us the same game than last year with a new menu. At least 2k20 worked...

While you might be right, let's get some confirmations from others listing their processors before declaring this as fact.

I've just gone through the 980 posts and found only the following processors fully identified by people other than you as not working, which is disappointing as everyone should list their specs (we might have worked this possibility out a while back if they had). All of them except the quoted posts below are missing AVX.

Intel Pentium G5400
Intel Core i5-650
Intel Core i5-760
Intel Core i7-920
Intel Core i7-930
Intel Core i7-950
Intel Xeon X5675

These ones have AVX so they might be a different issue...

Yes those processors have AVX but they can play the game they don't crash at 100% loading, they crash during gameplay the game maybe still broken, watch Agent 00 video on Youtube about PC version how many times he crash to desktop during gameplay.


I already tested it on many PC. AVX it is. Intel I3,I5 runs. Pentium has no AVX it crashes at 100%. AMD A8 does not run the game at 100% loading this does not have AVX. Tested on A10 It runs has AVX. Ryzen 3 Runs it too.

That's fair. We'll just have to wait and see if 2K confirm it.

If it's made official, the people who made those three quoted posts will need to re-check their system/game and see what's causing their issue.

Game Crashes when starting a match

Everytime I click play now anywhere the game closes instantly. Thatway I cannot play any match. I installed and bought the game today and I am running the latest version
