How are folks liking the feel of the overall gameplay?
I think this is the biggest change overall - it feels a lot more fast paced and physics based. I am liking it a lot, but obviously am in the camp of needing some adjustment with the new shot mechanics. What do other folks think?

Think it feels alright, but slightly bad. It doesn't really feel fast paced, and still feels like you still get sucked into crappy animations that you can't control.

Still have the AI playing defense like they are all DPoY— blocking layups that should be impossible but they can somehow jump above the rim when leaping from almost near the 3 point line. Seen a bunch of the AI in MyCareer move WAY too fast (like when you turn the min-max speed threshold above 80), their animations are sped up to the point that they look bugged. But at least I have seen less double teams by the AI when you are hot (or just have 8 points, like what happened in 2k20). Seen super slow AI bigmen leave their man and sprint towards me with super speed when I'm driving and they just swat everything. Seen Trey Young get screened, recover, and jump up and pin my layup against the backboard (but that's just 2k things where the AI is busted).

The new dribbling takes some getting used to, I like how it makes it feel fluid now once you get used to it (even added some new moves). Can't do a step-back jumper fake anymore because it forces you to pick up the ball— not sure if they intended for that to happen but it is extremely annoying.

Like a bunch of people mentioned, feels like it is impossible to hit the side of a barn when shooting from the perimeter. Even with Steph in Freestyle mode, I feel like I miss way too often. Not going to mention how they have Steph having no hotzones, and 3 cold spots from the perimeter— wonder what data they used to decide that since he played like what? 5 games?

Passes feel super slow. With bounce passes, sometimes it looks like the ball glitches and flies up in the air then zips down to the guy you were passing to. AI getting like 999 pass awareness and jumping passing lanes every now and then.

Increasing wingspan making lateral movement higher and height not having any effect on lateral movement were beyond idiotic changes they made, alongside just straight up lowering stat values and adding pie-chart variants that are worse than their original version.
