The cheating issue... NBA 2K21 Edition
If you want to discuss the cheating issue in the game, this is the place to do it.

Just remember that naming and shaming goes against Steam's code of conduct, so anyone throwing accusations around will be reprimanded accordingly. This includes screenshots with player names.

A reminder that discussion on how the cheating is done is also against the rules. Even if everyone supposedly knows how to do it, don't spread it here for those who actually don't.

As far as the playerbase, I can't really say cause I didn't play 2K20, but in regards to cheating, I've found that playing REC is a good way to avoid them, haven't found a single cheater on REC yet. In the park it's not THAT big of an issue, I mean yes they're there, but after you've seen them/played them, you know who they are and you know to stay away from them. Most cheaters are pretty obvious about it too, they don't even try to hide it so you'll know who they are more often than not before getting into a game with them.

There aren't many players playing REC. It takes thousands of years to queue one game. Maybe that's why hackers don't want to play REC.

i remember a Center Carmelo Anthony face scan cheater from 2k19. 60 ovr. faster than the guards in the game, knocking down shots from half court not even lying. added him after the game to trash him because of his cheats ( useless idea) and he kept calling me a crybaby and a noob and that i cant beat him. well, yeah, your build is enhanced by 3rd party cheats

The only way to truly clean up this community is stop playing with modders/cheaters. Simple as that. Once you see them, avoid them. Sad part is, they cheat and still lose most of the time. Pure trash.

Or we can just stop play this game until they do something about it? It's funny there was some "Elite 1" hacker streaming on twitch before I wont mention his name but he is pretty famous. No shame anymore they don't even care about showing their hacks on stream anymore lol

Trash hackers
I find it so funny watching hackers RUN form other hackers on 3s just because they want to beat on Rookies

Why is there nothing posted about cheaters/hackers???
I really don't understand why no one is talking about people using cheats/hacks to create stuff like paint beasts with sharpshooter takeover. Literally 1 in 3 players does this in every single park and there is nothing mentioned about it from the community or the company itself. Is there ever a chance of something happening about that problem or should the normal players just quit the game and let hackers/cheaters play on their own in the parks? @2K

Joouun, if you see a 7ft 3 center running at 99 speed and blocking people with their 99 vertical and 99 blocks, then dribble down the court at 99 ball speed, and cross over the entire team with it's 99 ball handling and 99 acceleration, then dunk over said entire team after crossing them all over with their 99 driving dunk. How you spot this easily is to use your cell phone and inspect every person in the park. It takes me like 2 minutes to check out a park and know everyone who is cheating. I even have a list of 22 names steadily growing. Their stats will say they are only 60 and most of the time have no badges at all. They actually have 99 in every single possible stat.

yea, that and the arms. I don't check everyone, but I like to check the people I'm playing against if I'm trying to get a park game. I've seen hackers in Rec as well. I've recorded a lot of games. It would be so easy to just go down the list and report people. They should be able to ban them very quickly.

The idea that they are going to buy the game again over and over, I don't think they will. If they will, way easier to report and get banned. If you've played 2k on console (where there really aren't hackers like this heh) it's pretty easy to spot anomalies and, truthfully, the community seems small enough that you should be able to just weed these people out.

If there were SOME hackers, that would be different, but I mean there are quite a few. They are actually driving people away from playing park.

I don't understand the naming and shaming rules of games... I heard the argument that you could make a false accusation but, other than seeming ignorant or maybe making someone look bad for a day or two before people realize you're lying, there is no downside. However, it would take almost no energy to check some of these guys' cards and see they are hacking. You can compare their card to their overall in the park... in one screenshot, and that's it. Proof, banned. Not naming and shaming.

Some people might have other tools they are using to green or whatever, but the majority of people who are in the park and hacking are obvious. It would be so easy to go down the line.

I actually found myself here after finally deciding to search 'how to report hackers.' We (the community) could clean this up in an instant, all we need is someone to look at the evidence. Everyone with a computer has the ability to take a screen shot or video.

I guess we could all try to play private team up games. Get at me dawg.

2K simply doesn't care about pc. You can hack/mod/cheat as much as you like and you won't get banned. But try to glitch or mod some VC and you're banned almost instantly. Just shows where the priorities of 2K are at. And these hackers begin to come in even more each day. At release there were a bunch of them but very easy to spot. With each day it gets harder and harder to spot them because they level up and hide or mask their attributes and their cheats.

^^ the thing is man, there is a whole community of people who legit mod the game. That's been a thing, so it has to be something more precise than that. It has to be people who are doing their myplayer.

I have no idea how people can find out in like myteam or playnow tho. You used to be able to tell... like I was playing Live way back in the day on PC and you could go into rosters and look at their rosters if you paused it, and it's like hmmm that's not right. But they basically just need a way to report people that gets a quick response. They could assign a few members to it. I'm sure some people would volunteer. There is the small chance of corruption and banning people who don't deserve to be banned, but you'd think that they should be able to sort it out.

It's killing the game, and the game is good. I actually don't mind it on PC at all, other than that. I does run better than console.
