Mac version won't start / How to get support
I'm trying to run the Mac version of SA on a 2013 MacBook Pro with Mavericks, and the game won't even start. I get that brief flicker of the icon in the dock, and that's it.

I've been trying to search for this, but all I can find is other people asking the same question.

I'd like to contact Steam support but there's nothing I can find to send a support message -- just links to knowledge base information, no contact form or anything like that.

So can anyone tell me either a) how to get it working, or b) how to get formal support

Cheers :-)

It seems to be OS version related. Mavericks or later is broken, but Mountain Lion or earlier are fine.

Turns out, this is not actually a Mac port at all. It's a Windows version runing in an emulator (Wine). So I'm pretty sure the problem lies there, eg. perhaps it's using a version of Wine that isn't supported anymore.

I did find this, but it doesn't work:

It's really hard to follow what the guy's saying, he mumbles a lot and seems to be eating while he's talking ... but eventually I worked out what to do, and it didn't work.

GUYS I tried something and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!
To fix this error you must:
1. Install Moroshka File Manager from App Store (free)
2. Check "Show Hidden Files" in preferences
3. Go to the /Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/Library/Application Support and delete Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas folder.
