To me this feels like booting up the old game but not having to fuss around with mods just to get it running. I know its not on par with a Night Dive remaster, but even lots of their earlier stuff has plenty of problems that have been left unresolved.
I'm also playing Shadow Warrior Classic (not night dive but redux) and its a pain in the ass trying to get that to run properly full screen at 4k with nice mouse movement without having to use a sourceport.... which isn't hard but i just like it working out the box.
And yea - for its day it was incredible the stuff they were trying out with level design, side quests, the gun store etc. Love it. Love the grittiness as well.
Its a blast. I'm definitely going to play through it again after the next patch.
Is there anything i need to do to get that running via steam?
I picked it up in the sale today but it just launches in a teeny tiny little window in the middle of my monitor making it unplayable.
ever tried the raze port? works great for all of the well-known build engine games. blood, duke3d, redneck rampage and shadow warrior. even supports the pc version of powerslave. that's what i use, so i'd recommend.
I actually just picked up powerslave in the sales today. The vanilla steam version of that ran pretty well for me. Is the raze port significantly better then?
nice. definitely try both. i was very impressed with the raze port's performance & accuracy. as for sin? there's not really any 'port' per-se, but the best way to play it on modern systems atm is probably sin gold on gog. which is probably also on sale for like $5, lol.
I got the Steam version for the same price.
Is the GOG version different?
Yeah i like the difficulty.
I played on Medium my first time round and going in harder for my second run now i know what to do and where to go.
