Plagiarism! copyright violation of John Kenn Mortensen artwork!

The developers used in their game a lot of artistic images authored by John Kenn Mortensen, without even contacting the artist! I have filed Steam a copyright infringement complaint.

Похожесть != плагиат и тем более ни коим образом не считается прямым заимствованием. Конечно, можно применить похожесть до степени смешения, но в данном случае само произведение не имеет ничего общего по сфере бизнеса с работами указанного автора. Поэтому считаю, что ничего хорошего этот поступок не сделает.

No, the images are NOT copied at all. They were inspired by, perhaps, yet I believe the game's art surpasses Mortensen's art and is even better. There is absolutely NO (zero) copyright infringement whatsoever.
I LOVED this game; the game play, SFX, music and the wonderful, fabulous art. Hope the next one is just as good.

Save your time and energy, dude/s, it is NOT any type of legal issue whatsoever. It is vaguely similar, not even an imitation at all.. Haven't you ever heard the quote, "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"?! The images are not "copies" they are INSPIRED by, perhaps, but NOT "copied"! So what if they are similar, obviously the artist and/or developer appreciated another artist's work and was inspired by it so it reflects it somewhat in an animated form yet it is NOT "copying", LOL You people need to get real lives and most of all, wake up and look at yourselves in the mirror, examine your own motives before you accuse others of wrong doing because IMO it is YOU that are doing wrong by your unpleasant bullying of a fine and creative new game developer! IF you truly cared you would contact both the dev and artist privately but spewing your nasty, prodding, bullying remarks back and forth publicly is just simply SHAMEFUL.

сам себя не похвалишь - никто не похвалит, да? ну продолжай обелять себя. вот только на воре и шапка горит. был бы ты художником и честным человеком - ты бы свои образы придумал. а не тащил у другого художника. но у нас в стране принято брать чужое и выдавать за свое, а когда на это указывают - отбрехиваться всеми возможными способами. атрофированная совесть, жажда наживы и бесталанность правят бал.
