Vice City won't open on my mac

I got the game years ago and played it before and wanted to replay it recently. Sadly though every time I try to open the game it gives me the thing for the product code and then starts to open the game but crashes. I've tried deleting the files and redownloading the game over and over but nothing seems to work. Wondering if anybody else had this problem? I got OS sierra version 10.12.6
