Every single drop shot is hit with a top spin swing. Laughable.
This problem (hitting a slice after pressing the topspin button) was there in the first game and it is in this one as well, I am surprised that this is not yet fixed. I mean hitting a slice for balls which require quite a bit of running and stretching is fine but that is not the case every time because the game overrules the shot selection and the player hits a slice even on some normal balls.
The drop shot one is also a problem which I face, in fact its not only the drop shot but also the returns of drop shots as well, I mean the whole animation of running towards the drop shot and then returning the drop shot is also a mess, more over it also exposes you to a winner as the net game is very difficult .
I find one more thing really problematic that is the returning of lob balls. Many times the animations of the approach, positioning and swing preparation for returning lob balls is bad and very unstable as it looks like as if the player does not know what to do with the lab. Even sometimes (most of the times actually) the player hits an aggressive slice from the shoulder height level from both the side (forehand and backhand) to deal with the lob ball which is so unrealistic as lob balls should be smashed or drive volleyed or should be dealt aggressively with a normal ground stroke. The most astonishing part of this slice return of the lob ball is that the ball pace is ridiculously fast and the ball trajectory is like a topspin shot which makes absolutely no sense.
Spot on. Posted about this myself. High bounces below overhead height are always hit with a bizarre, slice style swing, but the ball then pings off of the raquet in super speed with high top spin. Completely ridiculous, but that's a common theme in this game with the swing being incorrect and/or not matching the ball trajectory.
