Replaying this game update-to-update has become more of a chore.
yes, BUT cheat codes are needed for people that also invested in this game on steam and don't want to replay the same intro and dungeon over-and-over with each new update.
Some of us don't have the disposable income to give away to a Patreon month after month.
The trouble with a Patreon is the way it incentivizes endless development - people are paying devs to never finish the game.
I have like 8 of these "early release"/half-games in my library. After each update, I have to replay the games from start. It is a chore. Devs really need to start enabling cheats in the Steam early releases, or everyone is gonna get sick of it and no longer invest in these half-games, and then this whole steam+patreon revenue strategy will collapse. I personally no longer buy these type of game and actually warn people.
Steam "early release" + Patreon = endless development. And that means regularly having to sink hours into replaying and unlocking stuff. I have actually given up on a lot of stuff in my library.
Please devs, just give us something to unlock the gallery. all I ask. You can keep your spiral development and patreon lemmings and I will not try to enlighten anyone. -
Apologies for the late reply,
With regards to this matter, I have forwarded the issue to the developers and am awaiting a response.
We hope that we will be able to make the game experience much better for everyone through all these constructive feedback that you all have been providing, and we are very grateful for that!
To answer your questions:
Cheat codes are meant to be a special community reward for those who actively follow and contribute to the development on a monthly basis!
However, we will be taking in the feedback to the developers nevertheless, so I hope that will be able to help you guys out!
Have a great day~
ok, thanks/
But how people like me can help?
And how i can foloow the game?
Dev's...I get that it's kinda like a reward thing but at the same time, blocking them from the rest of us just because we aren't forking over a monthly fee is stupid. Now hear me out here, a good compromise, even a small one would be to give the non-patreon supporters access to some of the cheats, depending on how many there are it could be as small as 1-3 cheats for the rest of us (even the most basic ones that bring us back up to speed would be nice). The patreon people still get their cheats, the rest of us get a taste of them and you the Dev's won't have to constantly deal with people complaining in the forums.
^ this...Isn't there something in the rules for Devs that means a steam build of a game has to be 100% the same as an off site one anyway? If there is then technically we aren't getting the same build as the cheats count as part of the build and us steam users are being blocked from using them.
Would like clarification on that from someone who does know the dev rules better.
Cheats are for patreon people only sadly. Best advice I can give you is just go and use Cheat Engine. (seriously us steam users should at least have some cheats available)
It's more of a case of "why should a tiny portion of the player base for this game get access to the cheat codes just because they fork out a monthly payment on patreon" while the people who bought it on Steam have to suffer kind of thing.
With the patreons getting access to the cheats for forking over cash it can potentially turn away future Steam purchases as the Steam version has things gated behind a paywall even though it's an EA game which in of itself is really odd to start with if that makes any sense?
