The game very much respects the players sexual orientation and allow for hetero/gay/bi playthoughs. There's also options in the game's settings which will enable or disable certain type of scenes based on the player's sexuality.
Being a breeding game, playing as homosexual only might take away from the experience a little bit. Getting monsters with optimal traits can become more tedious than it already is as only heterosexual/intersex breeding results in pregnancy. If you limit the rule only for the player character then this will not affect the gameplay all that much. Monsters and their eggs are also sold by merchants so getting new ones is not out of the question.
