Can't talk to Garst?
The way Fio stands in the house is really awkward, she's blocking the path to Garst, so I can't seem to talk to him. Is this a bug or am I just doing something wrong?

no, he's just not available yet. You can use him for combat but for right now he doesn't have any dialogue/dates so he's in the corner to look pretty and decorate the house
