Start up issues: crashing/ black screen at launch

I've gotten the game to launch once but now it either just crashes or will start but the screen is just black with music playing in the back. I've reinstalled it and verified the integrity of the game files but nothing is working, anyone know how to fix this?

I'm having a similar issue but only before combat or loading into areas outside of the town. For some reason it keeps stopping on a black screen. I tried the same reinstall and it got worse somehow.

I've found comments dating as far back as march on the issue and it appears theres still not any way to prevent it.

So i had some success? I updated my driver and it started working but sadly when i tried to open it again today it instantly crashed. :(

Hopefully this will be the last update and I'll be done trouble shooting.

From what I found Unity wont get a long with a handful of other programs and or display adapters

If you have Citrix Workspace just look up "citrix unity crash" and it should lead you to how to fix it.

In my case Unity and AMD radeon R7 M360 were the issue. i had to disable Radeon and the game is working again...for now.

Unity will work with Intel HD graphic 530 because its operates in its own memory space- i think that's what they said, I'm not a computer person- and is there for immune to Unity's bugs.

Someone did try to contact both unity and AMD Radeon about the issue and they just blamed the other company for the problem so i doubt this'll get fixed anytime soon.

I don't think any of that is the issue I think its just the game not working properly. I'm not good with computers either but from what I've been able to find its not the PC

I'm not much of a computer person either but once I started disabling AMD radeon the game launches and plays just fine. With your issue I'd have no idea what to do to help that but wait for them to work on the game more as it's still in Beta BUT if any one is having problems with the game not launching at all it could be the same issue as I had!
