Using an Xbox 360 controller on a Mac?

I would like to play this game using an Xbox 360 controller, I have downloaded the necessary drivers and it works kind of but the camera is all messed up, it shows a top down view and is rotating constantly. I also can't program anything to the triggers. Any advice?

This seems to be a pretty regular problem, had the same issue with San Andreas. It seems the mac cannot pick up certain buttons etc so it's not really going to get fixed. You can download a program called "ControllerMate" which lets you map controllers but I dont know if it will work. Best bet is to buy a controller designed for Mac's

ControllerMate works well if you're willing to play around with it and map the buttons.

I can't really get the axis button to work with the left annalog stick for the camera view any help would be great please

Wish I could help but I think the simple fact is is that it just doesn't work. I never really got it either. I got it so you can play, but doing things like sniping is just impossible, it's way too touchy and sensitive.

yeah I actually kinda got it going now almost, I got work on it, if people want it I'll post like the profile so people wont have to imput them themselves.

Yeah just give me sometime to get it right, for me I like my camera slow so keep that in mind but I'll post it once its done

uh I can't put in chat so I'll PM you or if I can't PM me and I'll send you the controller set up and virtual mouse needed its not perfect at all but its better than it was before, because the controller is plugged in it still does that stupid spinning thing but I found a way around it, unplug the controller and plug it back in, this goes for going in and out of cars and after cinemas. Like i said not perfect driving gets some getting used to, also I set it up with the GTA IV Xbox controls in mind so keep that in mind.

ive had this problem playing spyro 1 on my psx1 on my mac the camara wont stop, i could edit on psx because of the emulator but not on here as you cant really change controls

I have the same issue but with not being able to use the Xbox controller at all. Controller works with other games such as Borderlands and such. Did it work before the update?

It works for me as long as i dont touch the right of left triggers.
