PREVENT PLAY ONLINE invite friend infinite loading bug

here the method for help invite friend to avoid the infinite loading bug
1) go to the play local
2) use the select chapter load in the second chapter
3) finish load in the game return back to main menu
4) go to play online invite yr friend (yr friend must be stay at the main menu all time)
5) have fun

if u are new without any game progress, you need a controller for start the play local. Or u didnt have any controller, that you need a friend have the game progress to invite you

bro i could've tested ur solution, but how do i go play local if it's still requires second player and i don't have a gamepad?

use a controller for p1 and keyboard mouse for p2, maybe u can find someone borrow the controller

you don't have to prevent this, you can just search for your friend in the searchbar and then press enter, even when the loading icon is still moving. This will fill in your friend automaticly and then just click invite at the bottom right

can confirm this works, had the freezing bug where the EA overlay would simply freeze (fix by fullscreen not fullscreen window) and the unlimited loading fixed by searching the name of my friend and clicking on invite at the bottom right!

Confusingly, I believe the name you need to search for is your friend's steam username, not the EA username. (I think.)
If like me you only have one friend in the EA app (because you downloaded it to play this game with said friend), then you can press enter without searching anything - should fill them in, and you can send an invite.
